Wardtone Records is a curated independent record store on New Hampshire's Seacoast, specializing in new and vintage vinyl, plus 45s, CDs, cassettes, and more.
Our inventory is constantly evolving, with fresh collections, new arrivals, and restocks hitting the floor every week—often every day. Whether you're building your first collection or searching for hard-to-find pressings, you'll find a welcoming atmosphere and a thoughtfully curated selection worth exploring again and again.

We take pride in our carefully curated selection of new and pre-owned vinyl. Every main-bin pre-owned record is carefully inspected, thoroughly cleaned, and conservatively graded before it reaches the bins. Our listening station lets you preview non-sealed vintage records before you buy.

There’s a lot new at Wardtone Records!

The store keeps growing and changing, with hundreds of new arrivals hitting the bins every week — and lately we’ve made some other big additions.
A new Cambridge Audio sound system
We’ve upgraded the store with a new Cambridge Audio sound system. You can now play-test CDs as well as vinyl through studio headphones or mounted speakers.
New Wave / Post-Punk / Synth has expanded
One of our fastest-growing sections now has more room, with an expanded selection of New Wave, Post-Punk and Synth on both vinyl and CD. Is there a great selection of Cure, Depeche Mode and Joy Division? Of course. :) But there's also a nice selection of legendary underground artists like Christian Death, Alien Sex Fiend, The Stranglers, and so much more.
CD Selection has expanded
Several excellent curated CD collections focusing on various genres including all kinds of alt rock and old school hip hop were recently added along with additional CD shelving.
An exceptionally clean 70s & 80s LP collection is hitting the bins now.
We’re currently rolling out a large collection of mostly Near Mint club pressings and other exceptionally clean lps from the 1970s and ’80s. Many look virtually unplayed.
There’s a little bit of everything, including:
Classic Rock: Led Zeppelin and plenty more
Hard Rock & Hair Metal: Poison, Twisted Sister, Mötley Crüe
Pop: Prince, Michael Jackson and other ’80s staples
Early Hip-Hop: Run-DMC, Young MC and more
And that’s not the only collection making its way into the store.
Another record batch is arriving with a focus on classic country, bluegrass and roots music, including the Highwaymen, Alison Krauss, the Blasters and plenty more.
We’ll be rolling all of this out gradually, so the New Arrivals bins and the wall will keep changing throughout the week.
